Prolonging tofu
Try this for preventing tofu from getting stale quickly, sour-smelling, and making it last longer.
Cleanse it first, and dry off. Then pour hot water over it and leave to cool off.
Store in the refrigerator.
Longer lasting chicken
Remove chicken for its packaging. Wash clean, then cover it whole with
wheat flour. Leave for a few hours, then re-wash, and refrigerate.
Slowing decay of bananas
Add a bowl of rice to a bigger container. Place the bananas in the container until its time be eaten or cooked.
Storing Prawns
Wash the prawn clean and filter the water out. Mix with a little sugar, then store in a tight-lid container.
This will preserve the prawns up to a couple of days, even without refrigeration.
